Welcome to Marie's Restaurant, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Bushwick, where the warmth of Italian hospitality meets the rebellious spirit of New York City. Marie's is more than just a dining destination—it's a home away from home where high-quality, approachable Italian-inspired cuisine takes center stage.
The name "Marie's” pays homage to our Chef Miguel Trinidad's partner and her Italian-American family's tradition of picking fresh vegetables for their daily meals, reflecting our core values of family and connection to fresh ingredients. Besides showing our love through food, Marie’s would like to connect with the neighborhood in various other ways, including pasta-making classes and wine tastings, with the goal of creating a shared community, the Marie’s family.
Chef Miguel infuses Marie's menu with playful interpretations of iconic New York classics, celebrating the rich culinary heritage of the beloved city he calls home. As you step through our doors, you'll be embraced by the comforting aromas of home cooking and the inviting glow of community. Join us at Marie's, where every meal is a celebration of love, laughter, and the simple joys of life.
Chef Miguel Trinidad
Formally trained at the Institute of Culinary Education, Chef Miguel began his culinary career as Executive Chef at Soho hotspot Lola. Building on his experience at Lola’s, Trinidad launched his first restaurant, Maharlika, a modern Filipino restaurant. Soon thereafter, Trinidad opened his second business, a “Filipino Gastropub” called Jeepney, which garnered a Time Out New York Award for “Best Seafood Dish of 2013.”
Miguel is the creative force behind 99th Floor, an innovative cannabis-themed fine dining and private catering experience, prominently featured in the New York Times. His culinary prowess has been showcased on esteemed platforms such as the Cooking Channel, Food Network, NBC, Fox, ABC-CBN, VICE, and GMA Network.
Currently residing in Bushwick, Brooklyn, Chef Miguel remains deeply rooted in his native city, a place where his culinary journey began, as he was born in a New York City taxi cab.
